Why It Matters

Australia’s fabrication and manufacturing sectors face two critical challenges: a skills shortage and a productivity gap. At the same time, automation and advanced technologies are transforming workshops.

Kynetik Ark bridges this gap by equipping workforces with:

  • A broad metallurgical knowledge base.

  • Fundamentals of welding technology and welding metallurgy.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing standards and compliance.

  • Practical, tailored skills to improve productivity and adaptability.

We believe training should do more than tick boxes, it should empower people and strengthen industries.

About Kynetik Ark

Kynetik Ark was founded by Dr. Cornelis Van Niekerk, one of Australia’s top welding and materials engineers. With a PhD in materials engineering and welding metallurgy, and decades of experience, Cornelis has trained everyone from apprentices to master’s students, welding inspectors to international specialists.

He has received an international award for lecturing from the UK-based Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining (IOM3) and has led training through Australia’s peak welding body where he also functioned as the manager of advanced manufacturing.

His passion lies in empowering people through education, creating tailored courses that uplift careers, transform industries, and build a stronger future for Australian manufacturing.
